Austin Benefits is currently looking for a new member to join our team as a full time Senior Client Financial Analyst. Responsibilities include:

SUMMARY

The Senior Client Financial Analyst is responsible for the collection, analysis, and preparation of prospective and client benefit data for annual review. The role requires experience in data entry and technical prowess in Microsoft Office Suite. As a Senior Client Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in leveraging data and analytics to drive strategic insights and support decision-making processes. The Senior Client Financial Analyst works on small and large groups up to 100 lives and spends about 95% of their time in Excel.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Works as a liaison between internal account management and external vendor partners
  • Collect, clean and analyze large sets of data
  • Prepare market analysis for new business development and client retention
  • Collaborate with Client Experience Team on client goals and expectations to deliver
  • Analyze the client’s current group plan benefits and rates compared to competitive data received.
  • Quarterly Financial Reports/Claims Reporting Details for experience rated clients
  • Negotiate rate discounts with carrier representatives to create an ideal benefit plan for clients.
  • Cross-sell to existing clients to ensure a balanced benefit portfolio.
  • Maintain effective service models to ensure long-term client satisfaction and retention.
  • Design complex strategies and thoroughly research various solutions for each client based on their needs.
  • Identify, research, initiate and implement opportunities for process improvement to optimize streamlining and efficiency
  • Reviews Carrier Contracts to ensure products sold are implemented correctly
  • Maintains and develop relationships with third party administrators, insurers, and other vendors 
  • Ensure and maintain the company’s compliance with state and federal laws
  • Resolves complex or difficult contract issues through direct contact with vendors and/or management
  • Act as a subject matter expert on health insurance analytics, industry trends, and new product development, providing guidance and training to other team members
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and workflows to drive greater efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist Benefit Administration and Client Experience team as needed
  • Provide training and mentoring to other team members
  • Work with Benefit Administration Team, Enrollment Auditor, or Client Experience Team with any Audit issues prior to and after renewal
  • All other duties as assigned.
