REPORTS TO: Site Services Maintenance Supervisor SUPERVISES: N/A AUTHORITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: Carry out all tasks issued by the Site Services Maintenance Supervisor and the Site Services Foreman in an efficient, expedient and cost effective manner, paying attention to quality of workmanship at all times. Keep supervisor and management informed of observed negative maintenance trends caused by abuse of equipment and facilities. Repair production equipment (cranes, mobile equipment, shears, press breaks, chop saws, band saws, drill presses, shears, lathes, etc) as required. Maintain and repair air compressors, HVAC, electrical distribution systems, switchgear and structural integrity of facilities. Must be familiar with the use of diagnostic equipment such as multi-meters, pressure gauges and torque wrenches Identify and repair faulty or damaged doors, locks, plumbing fixtures, walls and other facility components Site Services personnel are required to perform various tasks when and as required, and therefore multi-skilling will be a requirement of this position. Carry out all tasks safely utilizing all required PPE and safety devices. QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE: Must be multi-skilled with strong emphasis on one, but not limited to, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical and HVAC either through an accredited technical training course and/or experience. Ability to achieve skill upgrades as required. Must be able to communicate effectively and have a basic understanding of company policies, procedures and standards. 3 years’ experience as a maintenance mechanic in an industrial, manufacturing or ship building environment required.
