Job Summary

• Supervise a department of 4-6 employees to execute events to plan, schedule, and monitor delivery performance for outbound and inbound shipments, including up to 100 multi-stop trailer loads and more than 200 LTL shipments in progress at any time. Must provide timely communication of delays or changes to customers as necessary
• Must be capable of collecting and analyzing internal operational performance and external carrier performance to expectations, including shipment ready time, carrier pickup and delivery, total shipment volume, and equipment balance for multiple PDC locations.
• Set daily goals and measure compliance to those goals.
• Inherent in this supervisor position is the responsibility to identify opportunities to increase performance, reduce costs, improve processes, and coordinate with stakeholders to implement improvements.
• Investigate and determine root causes of service failures; develop and implement corrective actions as necessary
• Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment.
• Must be able to foster a positive team dynamic, resolving employee relations issues and administering corrective action as required
• Complete and effectively deliver performance assessment annually for each subordinate, including assessing performance to expectations and defined targets; review and assist in creating individual development opportunities; and initiating performance-based pay increases and promotions.

• Must conduct this role with behavior and communication that promotes a positive image of Aurora to external vendors and customers.
• Supervise and report internal use of transportation management system (TMS) by users at all PDC locations and external vendors.
• Supervise additional tasks related to pallet return program and customer returns.

Essential Job Skills and Requirements

• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience leading/supervising others in meeting daily expectations.
• Minimum of 0-3 years of experience in Logistics/Supply Chain
• Moderate knowledge of the supply chain/logistics industry
• Developed customer and vendor relations building skills
• Proficient in Excel and Windows software is preferred
• Comfortable with verbal communication and demonstrated ability for oral and written communication
• Job is conducted in an office environment for most of the 40-hour work week; minimal remote work is acceptable but must be prepared to report to Lebanon, IN.
