We are seeking a Full time Lead Collector with experience in Managed Care to be part of our team.
The position is responsible for collecting payments, identifying procedures that enhance billing and collection process, tracking and reporting trends on billing and collection deficiencies, generating effective plans to resolve deficiency, escalating billing and collection issues to authorized personnel when appropriate, acting as back up person for collectors, and assisting in completing special projects as required.
Education & Experience:
· High School, or equivalent education and experience
· College Accounting course work preferred
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in A/R collections preferred
· Knowledge of medical terminology and Managed Care billing guidelines is required
· Familiarity with CPTs and ICD10 codes
· Familiarity with online clearinghouse, submissions, and rejections
· Complete knowledge of AIS, keyboarding skills, math skills
· Results oriented, great attention to detail, ability to prioritize, work independently and strong project management skills
· Ability to work in a team environment and operate on own initiative when required
· Strong verbal and written communication skills required
· High integrity including maintenance of confidential information
· Must be able to exercise good judgment and positively influence and lead others, including handling confrontations with poise and efficiency.
