Our mission is to support and enable the makers who fuel the pursuit of musical expression. We are currently searching for an exceptional Team Lead to join our team in Corona, CA.

The Team Lead for Metal Shop will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our Metal Shop, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to driving continuous improvement within the metal shop. 

Essential Functions

  • Lead and mentor a team of machine operators, ensuring they adhere to company policies and safety procedures.
  • Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive working environment.
  • Collaborate with production manager to develop and implement production schedules.
  • Allocate resources and assign tasks to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Operate and maintain various machines, ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Assist team members with machine setup, tool changes, and adjustments.
  • Monitor and enforce quality control measures to ensure all products meet industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Conduct inspections and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Manage inventory levels of materials, tools, and supplies required for machine operations.
  • Coordinate with procurement to reorder supplies as needed.
  • Promote a safety-first culture by enforcing safety protocols and addressing safety concerns promptly.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and train team members on safe operating practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and increased productivity.
  • Implement best practices and efficiency improvements within the metal shop.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years operations /manufacturing experience preferable in Fender
  • Ability to read, understand and communicate in English & Spanish preferred

Please note that it is not typical for a Fender employee to be at or near the top of the pay scale for their role – especially as a new hire – and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Subject to the foregoing, the current pay rate for this position is $21.00 per hour.
