As our new water resources engineer, you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled water specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across Aurecon’s Infrastructure, Energy and Water Markets. Working in the Brisbane Water Resources team, with over 30 industry specialists, you will be surrounded by leaders in their respective fields. This environment will allow you to learn from and collaborate with experts, further enhancing your skills and knowledge in a supportive environment. This role will provide you with exposure to drainage, catchment management, dams, water balance, industrial water, and water resources projects. Your role will include: Conduct flood risk assessments, including hydrological and hydraulic modelling, for a diverse range of markets and projects. The opportunity to design hydraulic design of waterway infrastructure such as bridges, culverts, levees, dams, spillways, diversion drains etc and scour protection measures. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop solutions that have the client at the centre. Experience in hydrological modelling, water balance and/or CFD is highly valued. If you don’t have these skills, you will have the opportunities to develop these skills. Proven experience with Geographic Information Systems Min 1 years experience in two-dimensional hydraulic modelling (preferably TUFLOW) How will your future be shaped by us?
