Position Description
The PCT (CT) is a staff member who assists the CT technologists in their work to provide better service and patient care for all patients and their families. This staff member will provide direct support to patients by safely transporting patients, checking patients orders to verify that diagnosis is covered, and arranging the patient’s arrival to the CT department.
Position Requirements
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization. Candidate must have one the following: Successful completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program, Medical Assistant program, or Direct Patient Care Allied Health program; or successful completion of the Nursing Fundamentals course from an accredited registered nursing program; or, minimum of two years of related experience. Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS). Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, possesses excellent patient/customer service skills, ability to learn/work with computers.
Preferred Requirements
Vocational or technical training or degree in CNA, CMA. 3 years or more of experience in direct patient care in an acute care setting.
