Description
The Clinical Assistant (CA) assists in receiving patients and serving as a liaison between the physician, patients and other staff members.
- Greet every patient in a room
- Update their allergies, medications, HIPPA, surgical hx, medical hx with changes
- Address depression screening and go through PHQ survey if needed
- Relay any complaints, refill requests, etc. to the Doctor if needed
- Look at vitals, report any vital that is not WNL, make sure pain scale is charted
- FMLA/Disability paperwork
- Give vaccinations
- Specialty pharmacy prescriptions
Requirements
*Candidates for this position are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19*
- 2 years MA experience preferred
- Basic computer knowledge
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to effectively mult-task
- Ability to comply with OSHA and HIPAA policies
- Ability to perform venipunctures, phlebotomies and other procedures preferred
- Exceptional customer service skills
