What we are looking for…
August Schell is looking for an experienced professional to join our team as a Mid-Level Capture Manager with a primary focus on proposal writing. This position offers a chance to play a pivotal role in our business development efforts and contribute to our continued growth and success.

What you will do...

Lead the development of high-quality proposals in response to government solicitations, requests for proposals (RFPs), and other opportunities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business development, technical, and subject matter experts, to gather information and develop compelling proposal content.
Write, edit, and format proposal sections, ensuring clarity, coherence, and compliance with solicitation requirements and evaluation criteria.
Conduct thorough reviews and evaluations of proposal drafts to identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with customer needs and objectives.
Manage proposal timelines, milestones, and deadlines to ensure timely submission and adherence to proposal requirements.
Stay updated on industry best practices, trends, and developments related to proposal writing and capture management.
Develop and execute capture strategies to win new business opportunities in alignment with company objectives.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify potential opportunities and inform capture strategies.
Additional duties as assigned.

What you will bring…

Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
10 years of experience in proposal writing, capture management, or related roles, preferably in the federal contracting or IT industry.
Proven track record of writing winning proposals and securing contracts in a competitive environment.
Strong understanding of proposal development processes, methodologies, and best practices.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy, even under tight deadlines.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Stand Out With…

Strong understanding of the federal procurement process, including FAR and DFARS regulations.
Experience in researching and analyzing federal government procurement opportunities to identify viable contract opportunities.
