The successful candidate will lead the analytical chemistry efforts in analyzing various target threat analytes, such as explosives, illicit drugs, bacteria, and viruses by Chromatography-based separation techniques coupled with mass spectrometry platforms. The primary responsibility of this position is to engage in original, professional-level research that is directed toward achieving the DCSITE program's main goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for the method development efforts based on previous experience and comprehensive literature surveys, lead instrument maintenance, co-mentor research assistants, and write progress reports, peer-reviewed publications, and proposed plans.
