Job Description

As a core contributor to the new AI-Link offering at AtScale, you will help design and develop cutting edge solutions for complex data operations and AI workflows.  As a member of the AI-Link team, your focus will be on innovating around MLOPs tooling and data science workflows, while leveraging the benefits of AtScale’sUniversal Semantic Layer. This is an opportunity to help develop novel technologies and influence a new business from the ground up, within an established market and company.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on a team of Data Scientists and Software Engineers to design, implement, and document new solutions for data engineering and data science within the AI-Link Python package
• Continue efforts to expand data warehouse and notebook integrations with AI-Link
• Become a subject matter expert and act as a resource for external users and customers (Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, Business Analysts) to pilot new offerings
• Help establish best practices, document designs, and mentor junior team members
• Define requirements, estimate work, track dependencies, report progress, highlight blockers

Requirements

• BA/BS preferred in a technical or engineering field
• 4 years experience
• Proficiency with Python and associated toolkits (numpy, pandas, scipy)
• Experience in data modeling and schema design and data lake construction
• SQL experience and command of query design and optimization
• Knowledge of different types of databases (e.g. relational, document, key/value) as well as experience with particular implementations and cloud versions such as Snowflake, BigQuery, RDS, Redshift, Neptune, DynamoDB, Cosmos, Athena, etc.
• Familiarity with common ML algorithms and libraries (e.g. scikit-learn, xgboost) 

Preference will be given to candidates with

• Experience working with one of the cloud providers like AWS, MSFT Azure, or GCP
• Familiarity with data cataloging and warehousing technologies such as AWS Lake Formation, MSFT Synapse, and Alation
• Experience contributing to a production code base
• Experience with devops best practices and tools such as Github, related automation, etc
• Experience with data science and machine learning platforms like DataRobot, Dataiku, Sagemaker, AzureML, H20.ai, Databricks
• Experience designing and automating ETL/ELT workflows using cloud services such as AWS data pipelines, Glue, EMR, and airflow or Azure DataFactory
