Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining financial records, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP principles and possess excellent organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:
-Perform bookkeeping duties for church and school:

• Accounts payable
• School accounts receivable setup, billing, and reconciliation
• Payroll coordination with benefits provider and provide payroll data to processing company.
• bank account reconciliation
• Maintain general ledger
• Monthly and yearend closings

Provide financial reports to church council and school board

• school tuition report
• Cash analysis
• Annual reports to Synod
• Work with Parish Administrator to maintain employee benefit elections
• Provide data for budget preparation

Qualifications:

• Bookkeeping Certificate or Accounting Degree (AA or BA)
• Prior bookkeeping experience
• Proficient in accounting software packages as well as Microsoft Excel and Word
• Effective interpersonal and customer service skills
• Work well in a team environment
