Atlas Technical Consultants is Hiring a Survey Crew Chief Near Atlanta, GA

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Verifies the accuracy of all survey data for assigned project/location including measurements and calculations at survey sites. Performs boundary line analysis and calculations.
Within the project team explains work requirements, methods and procedures; reviews work in progress, coordinates with others in Atlas or the client organization in terms of project status, priorities, etc.
Monitors equipment and troubleshoots problems that occur on a day to day basis with equipment and survey procedures.
Performs surveying duties to layout, mark, execute or indicate the locations of infrastructures to be erected or removed during a construction phase or site project.
Performs client relations and communications duties including keeping clients and project managers updated on the status of projects, and following up after project completion.
Records the results of surveys including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land.
Ability to search legal records, survey records and land title records to obtain information about property boundaries in areas to be surveyed when required.
Provides training to junior staff on equipment and procedures for each project.
Communicates findings of the work with engineering, architectural, other survey personnel, clients, and others concerned with projects.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma
5 plus years Survey experience
2 years Crew Chief experience working on DOT survey projects.
Certified Survey Technician not required, but a plus
Ability to obtain a Part 107 UAS license
Ability to lead and train crew members. Valid Georgia Driver’s License, satisfactory driving record and willing to submit to a pre-hire background check
Dependable transportation
Team player, strong work ethic and dependability
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and the willingness to work in a drug free work place.
Technical Requirements:
Experience working with Robotic Total Stations, electronic data collection and point coding for auto drafting.
GPS, RTK GPS equipment, methods and procedures.
Familiarity with Georgia land survey technical standards for property surveys
Previous experience performing ALTA, topographic, utility and route surveys.
Other miscellaneous qualities:
Ability to travel week to week or for longer periods of time approximately 50% to 70%, typically home on weekends.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Commitment to detail and quality of work
Ability to positively communicate with peers and clients
Ability to work overtime and travel throughout the state of Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama
Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs. and stoop, bend and stand throughout the course of up to a 12 hour day in varying terrain
Ability to handle multiple tasks within the same day
Work in a safe manner in accordance with the company’s Safety Manual
Desire to learn more and build on existing expertise
