Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team. As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing and procurement activities of our organization. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services to support our operations.
Duties:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and improve efficiency
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, pricing, and quality
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and ensure compliance with company policies
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluations, issue resolution, and contract renewals
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain adequate stock levels
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to track procurement activities and ensure timely delivery of goods
- Conduct root cause analysis on procurement issues and implement corrective actions
- Oversee contract management activities, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
- Implement category management strategies to optimize procurement processes
