What You’ll Do

• Direct or escort students across streets, stopping traffic as necessary, Monday-Friday from 7:00am-8:00am for arrival and dismissal from 2:45pm-5:00pm.
• Communicate traffic and crossing rules and other information to students and adults.
• Report unsafe behavior of children to school officials.
• Commit to being on time daily for the arrival and dismissal of students.
• Responsible for assisting and monitoring the safety and behavioral expectations of Atlas scholars while crossing the street before school and after school.
• Will report directly to the Transportation Coordinator

Essential Job Functions

• Ability to walk, and/or stand for up to 4 hours at a time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform job with extreme temperatures
• Ability to remain alert for up to to 4 hours at a time

Compensation & Schedule 

• $14.46 per hour 
• Monday – Friday; Occasional evenings and weekends as needed

Annual Calendar and Start Date

• 209work days per academic year
• Start Date: Immediately
