POSITION SUMMARY
The Associate Vice President of Total Rewards drives the total rewards philosophy, overall system architecture, implementation, and best practices across the company. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing compensation structure, incentive compensation, and benefits packages for Atlas Healthcare Partners team members, including routine reviews to ensure market competitiveness and market-leading innovation. The Associate Vice President will provide pragmatic and innovative vision and leadership to total rewards that focuses on the whole employee experience, including HRIS utilization and enhancements to positively drive business results. This role will provide thought leadership, lead change management and education efforts, and build total reward programs that will ensure we meet our goals of attracting, engaging, and retaining the best talent and becoming the employer of choice in the markets we support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Develops and delivers Atlas compensation and incentive compensation philosophy, benchmarking, policy and pay practices, with the Company's Executive Leadership Team.
  • Maintains knowledge of economic conditions, labor market, and other factors related to ensuring the organization provides competitive benefits and compensation structures.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in compensation and benefits design and administration.
  • Collects and analyzes data on the organizations' current compensation, benefits and incentive plans; compares this data to comparable plans and programs offered by competitors, similar companies in the industry, and similar companies in the geographic area.
  • Interviews leaders to gather and analyze data on the effectiveness of current compensation and benefits practices; leveraging the information to enhance and innovate the organizational compensation and benefits programs, practices, and processes.
  • Research compensation strategies and goals; suggests and implements changes that may increase team member engagement, performance, productivity, and profitability.
  • Conduct an annual market pricing and analysis.
  • Create and implement system and processes for review of existing and creation of new job descriptions Develop and manage the annual team member total rewards statement process and distribution.
  • Leads a team who administers self-funded programs.
  • Leads a team who administers employee savings plans that may include the company's 401(k) plan, personal savings plans, and deferred compensation programs.
  • Ensures administration of systems and processes that allow for conflict resolution and communication of changes and developments related to benefits, including eligibility, coverage, and provisions.
  • In partnership with Executive Leadership and Broker, recommends carriers and plan design manages and monitors benefits vendors to ensure the organizations compliance with plan and reporting requirements.
  • Ensures the organizations’ and plans’ compliance with the applicable provisions of regulatory requirements.
  • Develop a 3-, 4- and 5-year benefits strategy plan in partnership with broker.
  • Develop communication strategy to educate employees, leaders and increase participation enrollment.
  • Leads strategic utilization and continuous improvement of the organization's Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), including but not limited to document management, reporting, and policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.
  • Provides all customers with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or business field or demonstrated related work experience.
  • Seven to ten years of experience leading the design and administration of compensation or benefits programs in a multi-state organization.
  • 3 years senior leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources administration, and labor laws.
  • Deep knowledge of compensation and benefits principles and practices
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Advanced excel skills including pivot tables.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) & Certified Benefits Professional (CBP)
  • Experience leading the design and implementation of compensation and benefits programs within the organizational HRIS.
