General Description of Position: Under the direct supervision of the Director of Clinical Services, provides ongoing counseling or therapy services for adults with mental illness. Responsible for direct care to consumers in the clinic and in-vivo as required by policy and contracts. Adhere to the recovery model and strive for the successful discharge of each customer served. Responsible for coordination, planning, and implementation of treatment plans. Must work independently and use good judgment. Follow oral and written instructions, set priorities, and communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
Specific Equipment and Materials: Personal vehicles may be used for consumer visits and company vehicles when needed. Gas stipend provided.
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Behavioral Health field, which includes human services/or behavioral sciences related (psychology, sociology, social work) field from an accredited college or university.
Master’s Degree: Licensed Master in Social Work (LMSW) in the State of Texas, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or LPC-A.
Experience and Training: Prefer prior experience in Behavioral Health Services. Required bilingual English/Spanish. This position requires a valid driver's license with a clean driving record along with proof of current and up-to-date auto insurance.
Physical activities/Physical demands: Sitting 2/3 of time. Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel, reach with hands and arms, twist at the waist, push and pull less than 1/3 of time. Lift and carry a maximum of 35 pounds
