Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective actions
- Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, including incident rates, near misses, and corrective actions taken
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability
- Provide training and education on safety topics to employees at all levels
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulatory changes related to safety
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Safety Manager or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and writing detailed reports
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
Osha 10-30 certication required
