• Dependability: Cashiers who exhibit this quality need be trusted to complete their tasks and learn quickly on the job when needed.

• Knowledge of point-of-sales systems (POS): Having previous training and experience or being able to learn a POS can help cashiers complete transactions more quickly and accurately.
• Sales: The ability to explain how a service or product can help a customer or solve a problem they have is an essential skill for successful cashiers.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking: These professionals often identify an issue, the steps to fix it and the possible impacts of their solutions to ensure efficient operations in the workplace.
• Efficiency: Cashiers must be able to complete tasks correctly and in a certain amount of time to ensure they have time to address other responsibilities or be available to help customers or other team members.
• Telephone skills: As another essential part of communication and customer service, being able to professionally and efficiently handle customer calls is a vital part of some cashiers' job duties.

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
