Sr. Human Resources Generalist

Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for a Sr. Human Resources Generalist. You will be responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level at our Springfield, MO facility. This role will carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruiting, employee relations, benefits, training and development, onboarding, policy implementation and enforcement and employment law compliance. The role will also act as a liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices, and regulations.

What you'll do:

* Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-pathing program and writes and places advertisements.

* Consult with managers and supervisors on absenteeism, turnover and workforce data and take actions where necessary. Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions and helping resolve work-related problems

* Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.

* Administer benefits and performance management systems, as well as safety programs

* Develops and maintain affirmative action program; prepare EEO-1 report annually; maintain other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.

* Maintain and process payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.

* Maintain human resource information system (UKG) records and compile reports from the database.

* Coordinate employee appreciation, recognition, engagement, and volunteer events/programs

What you'll bring:

* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field

* Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience as an HR Generalist or any similar combination of education and experience.

* Bilingual abilities, both written and verbal, are strongly preferred

* Manufacturing experience preferred

* Experience with UKG is a plus

* PHR or SPHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

* Maintain confidentiality and professionalism

* Responsive nature with strong sense of urgency to handle matters quickly

* Detail orientated with the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively

* Interpersonal communications skills

* Ability to manage time and multiple tasks/priorities

* General knowledge of EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, Workers Compensation, DOL and other related Federal & State laws

* Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

* Ability to effectively problem solve; ability to understand and analyze data to make decisions
