ATI is currently seeking a Site Leader of Operations to join our facility in Appleton, WI. As a successful Site leader, you will be responsible for the productivity of your area, provide proper attention and accountability to processes, appropriate staffing within operating guidelines, and direct activities of the department including hourly production employees. The Site Leader will also be responsible for overseeing and directing the machine and facility maintenance activities. The Site leader will take ownership of machining output and will be responsible for addressing and implementing action plans when there are disruptions to production.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain strong communications with support teams to help prioritize and identify and prioritize needs of shop
  • Participate in communications of Company and department status to goals and objectives
  • Provide support for updates to production, quality, and safety issues
  • Participate and support continuous improvement activities
  • Initiate and support changes to shop floor environment
  • Responsible for ensuring a safe work environment for the site
  • Responsible for ensuring that parts are processed according to established and documented procedures and requirements, and meet specifications, may perform internal audits, and may assist engineering when they perform process audits
  • Responsible for on-time delivery of parts according to dispatch lists and priorities that are established by management, track parts and ensure that they are expedited to the proper operation(s)
  • Responsible for productivity management of their area by establishing productivity goals with management, tracking performance, also responsible for the maximization of equipment and people by assisting management with capacity planning and appropriate scheduling of resources, team members, and overtime; may schedule overtime as needed and planned, within operating guidelines set forth by management
  • Create and communicate milestone and action plans when production targets are falling short of targets.
  • Provide supervision and leadership to team members by giving consistent and on-going feedback, develop skills of team members by providing on-going coaching, encouraging initiative, reinforcing effective performance, developing collaborative relationships, ensuring employee involvement in process improvement efforts, engaging in team building exercises, and assisting team in goal setting and establishing performance goals – conduct performance reviews, and recommending disciplinary action and hiring/termination
  • Work with engineering, quality, and maintenance to solve problems and keep equipment operational as needed, work with Shift Supervisors to determine priorities and ensure communication flow between operations and shifts
  • Liaison and direct work from outside facilities and maintenance contractors.
  • Provide oversight, guidance and support to the Ultrasonic team. Collaborate with Ultrasonic leaders to ensure proper communication between maintenance, machining, and leadership team.
  • Oversee and direct inspection and shipping operations.
