Summary Statement
This position is responsible for using a forklift to load and unload materials from trucks, and moving bulk materials within the building.
Essential Job Functions
These are tasks that are integral to the function of the job. Reassigning these tasks would significantly detract from the function of the position.
% of Time Description of Task
90% Operation of forklift to move materials
10% Preparation of materials to be transported/handled by forklift
Marginal Job Functions
These are tasks that are typically done by the person in this job role, but that could be reassigned if necessary.
- Hand pouring/ manual filing
- 5s/housekeeping tasks as assigned
- Other production-related tasks as assigned
Other Requirements (Education, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
- Previous experience operating stand up and sit down forklifts
- Excellent safety record
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Ability to accurately complete paperwork/documentation
- Ability to use a calculator to do basic calculations and arithmetic
- Peripheral vision and depth perception adequate to safely operate a forklift
- Must wear all required personal protective equipment (e.g. foot protection, eye/face protection, hand protection)
- GMP facility – any jewelry or piercings must be able to be removed or covered
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
