SUMMARY: Set Up Operator (recognized internally as S Operators) are responsible for a variety of roles and job functions within the tool set up area of the organization. There are three levels of S operators, with advancing levels of skill and knowledge expectations throughout the levels. Job functions throughout the S levels, include, but are not limited breaking down packs, spraying, buffing, tool repair, tool installation, removal of tool from machine, and automated spray cell operations. Other organizational functions outside of set up are recognized in higher levels of the S function. The three levels of skills and mastery are outlined in the S Development Plan (AMT***). S operators are able to advance through various levels in the S function as skills, knowledge, and capabilities allow, as well as the need to meet organizational needs.
