SUMMARY: Safely and efficiently supply molders with functional tools for production needs. Includes but is not limited to tool repair, tool installation, and removal of tool from machine.

WAGE TYPE: Hourly

FLSA Exemption: Non-Exempt

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely and correctly operate in all functions of the set up area
• Perform work in accordance with specific job work instructions
  • Accurately identify any tooling defects to determine if useable
  • Accurately use all tools, gauges, and instruments
  • Follow written and verbal instructions with accuracy
  • Ability to operate a mold machine and cover breaks as needed
  • Correctly fix any defects to ensure compliance with the standard
  • Safely operate fork truck

• Reports to: Set Up Supervisor
• Supervises: None

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.

Education and/or Experience Expected: 

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must Pass ATEK Set Up Training to become a Certified Set Up Operator
• Must pass ATEK Functional Job Analysis and pre-employment physical and Drug Screen for Set Up position
• Must be able to pass ATEK Fork Truck Driver Certification

Preferred:

• Prior experience in manufacturing
• National Career Readiness Certificate is Preferred

Communication Skills:

• Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language

System Skills:

• None Required

Working Conditions:

• Frequent exposure to foundry like environment (high heat, dust, etc.)
