Interstate Fleet Service is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic. We work in a 12 bay Shop heated and insulated with no A/C. Only a small percentage of our jobs are customer drive-up one-off jobs. You get to know the equipment you’re working on and responsible for.
A lot of today’s trucks come in with warning lamps on (Engine, ABS, transmission, etc...) so we have to be able to first identify the truck system giving the error and then to troubleshoot it from there. We’re looking for technicians experienced in computer diagnostics and electrical repair in order to keep up with the demand of today's fleets.
Full-Time Position - the tasks below are some examples of various job activities:

• Diagnose warning lamps (Engine, ABS, transmission, or light the customer doesn’t even recognize).
• Identifying the truck system giving the error and then troubleshoot it from there.
• Computer diagnostics and electrical repair.
• Federal Inspections
• Brake Jobs
• Suspension Work
• Hub and Axle Repair
• Tire Repair
• Regular Service and Maintenance

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience required
• Preference goes to those with experience in auto body and refinish work
• CDL is not required but recommended

Pay:
$24- 30/hour
Schedule:
Tuesday - Saturday or Monday - Friday
7 am - 4 pm
