ATCC is Hiring a Remote Product Manager

Overview

Ready to shape the future of science and global health? ATCC, a pioneer in biomaterials manufacturing, is seeking a Product Manager with Cell Biology background to work a hybrid schedule.  This Product Manager will provide lifecycle product management of ATCC's portfolio consisting of primary cells, iPSCs, immortalized cell lines, and associated media and serve as both a business and technical expert. This is a flexible hybrid position based either in Gaithersburg, MD or Manassas, VA. In office requirement of either 1 - 2 days per week or 1 week per month. Apply today for immediate consideration.

Experience in Product Management and a background in Cell Biology or relative field (Cancer Biology, Cell Biology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or Toxicology) required.

Responsibilities

  • Market Research and Product Roadmap Development: Conduct interviews, surveys, and voice-of-market analysis to formulate optimal product roadmaps and inform new launches. 
  • Strategic Planning and Portfolio Management: Develop and maintain a strategic plan, executing growth strategies and regularly assessing the product portfolio for competitiveness. 
  • Business Opportunity Assessment: Conduct research to assess business opportunities, leading cross-functional teams through the new product introduction process. 
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Measure and report on product line performance, optimizing the marketing mix and ensuring continual improvement of the product portfolio. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 or more years’ experience or equivalent.
  • BS/MS/PhD in a scientific field (Cancer Biology, Cell Biology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or Toxicology) highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical, marketing or product management experience in a relevant industry preferred (pharmaceuticals, research products, clinical lab, etc.).
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing product portfolios and leading new product introductions. 
  • Experience in conducting market research, customer surveys, and competitive analysis. 
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable product strategies.
