Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Rehabilitation team. As a Registered Nurse in the Rehabilitation department, you will provide specialized care to patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery. Your role will involve assessing patient needs, developing care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and psychological well-being
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and goals
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to care plans
- Educate patients and their families on self-care techniques and rehabilitation exercises
- Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately and timely
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a rehabilitation setting preferred
- Familiarity with family planning, medical imaging, infant care, and home care practices
- Proficiency in administering injections, ventilating patients, performing IV insertions, and medication administration
- Knowledge of nursing home regulations and best practices
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse license in [state]
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
