Job Summary:
At Home Companions, a leading home healthcare agency in Hackensack, New Jersey, We are seeking a Part-Time Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to join our team on weekends. This individual contributor role involves providing compassionate and skilled healthcare services to clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare and a passion for helping others.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a part-time, hourly position with a competitive rate of $28.5 per hour. Paychecks are issued biweekly. 
Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality home healthcare services to clients on weekends in accordance with their care plan
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Administer medication and monitor clients' health status
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and grocery shopping as needed
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of services provided
• Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare team members
• Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols
• Attend trainings and meetings as required by the agency
Requirements:
• Valid New Jersey Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably home healthcare
• Knowledge of proper caregiving techniques and infection control
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and follow a care plan
• Must pass a background check
