Astro Industries is Hiring an Industrial Sandblaster Near Odessa, TX
- Operate and maintain sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces for painting, coating, or other finishing processes.
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear at all times.
- Understand and comply with relevant regulations and standards regarding abrasive blasting.
- Select appropriate abrasives, adjust blasting pressure, and control nozzle angles to achieve desired surface finishes.
- Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
- Clean and maintain equipment and work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job status, equipment maintenance needs, and any safety concerns.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an industrial sandblaster or in a similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of different types of abrasives, blasting techniques, and surface preparation methods.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions.
- Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and protocols at all times.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
