We are seeking a skilled Industrial Oil and Gas Painter to join our team. As an Industrial Oil and Gas Painter, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying protective coatings to various industrial equipment and structures within the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various painting techniques, knowledge of safety procedures, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as necessary.
- Select and mix paints, coatings, and sealants to ensure proper application and durability.
- Apply paint and coatings using spray guns, brushes, or rollers, ensuring even coverage and proper thickness.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to protect yourself and others from hazardous materials and fumes.
- Maintain and clean painting equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate painting schedules and meet project deadlines.
- Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards and client specifications.
- Document work performed, including materials used, time spent, and any issues encountered.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Industrial Painter, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
- Knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and coating application methods.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures related to painting and handling hazardous materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Certification or training in painting and surface coating applications is a plus.
