Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a junior security manager for the Engineering, Professional, and Administrative Support Services contract, supporting the Air Force Division.

LOCATION: San Antonio, TX

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• High school diploma or GED.
• Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• 2 years DoD security management experience.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

Knowledge of DOD security procedures, to include classified transmission, protection of incoming mail, courier requirements, security incident reporting, and security violation sanctions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide security support to controlled facilities to include but not limited to:
  • exercising delegated access control to secure areas.
  • Assist in opening and closing control facilities.
  • Assist in arming and disarming facility alarm systems as required.
  • Assist in accomplishing end of day security checks.
• Recommend, evaluate, maintain, and/or operate systems, policies, devices, procedures, and methods used for safeguarding information, property, personnel, operations, and materials.
• Recommend and implement policies and procedures for analyzing and evaluating the character, background, and history of employees, candidates for employment, and other persons having or proposed to be granted access to classified or other sensitive information, materials, or work sites.
