Certified Dietary Manager

Join our team as a Certified Dietary Manager, where you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing dietary operations with precision and expertise. As a leader in the food service industry, you'll coordinate and supervise all aspects of the dietary department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting a culture of excellence in nutritional services.
Job Duties:
·Developing and implementing menus that meet the nutritional needs of patients/residents while maintaining quality and variety.
·Ordering, receiving, and storing food in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
·Ensuring that food is prepared using safe and sanitary methods.
·Monitoring and organizing kitchen operations, including cleaning and maintenance.
·Managing departmental budgets, analyzing food costs, and modifying menus accordingly to stay within budget.
·Supervising and training staff in proper food handling, preparation, service, and sanitation procedures.
·Maintain accurate meal counts and food cost reports.
·Interacting with patients/residents and families to resolve any issues related to their dietary needs.
·Developing and implementing policies and procedures related to the dietary department based on established standards and guidelines.
Required Skills/Abilities:
·Good decision making and judgment capabilities.
·Ability to identify and solve complex problems.
·Great communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
·High comfort level with enteral nutrition, wounds, weight management, Hemodialysis.
·Comfortable working in a healthcare facility.
·Familiarity with state survey process and compliance with nutrition care regulations.
The successful candidate will:
·Graduate of Dietary Manager’s Program, 2-yr, or 4-yr foodservice program
·Successful completion of CDM Credentialing Exam with active certification status
·2 years’ experience in foodservice management
·Provide nutritional care to long-term care residents and sub-acute rehab patients.
·Plan, organize, develop, and direct the nutritional care of the resident in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, regulations and established facility/company policies and procedures.
·Be an active member of the interdisciplinary care conferences.
·Valid Florida Driver’s License
·Represent the Food & Nutrition Department as a liaison with the medical and nursing staff.
·Experience with electronic charting such as Point Click Care is a plus
