Fred C. Church Insurance, an AssuredPartners company, is a leading independent insurance broker. Due to continued growth and opportunity, we seek a Team Leader to join our mid-market Commercial Lines service team in charming downtown Portsmouth, NH.

The Team Leader provides a high level of support to team members who include Account Executives and Account Representatives.

The Team Leader maintains an assigned book of business as required and serves as representative of team to Management. This role requires a significant degree of independent judgment and discretion.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a leader, mentor, trainer and positive role model to direct reports
• Identify and analyze exposures and obtain underwriting information while adhering to Commercial Guidelines
• Work closely with internal departments to achieve the best outcome for client and agency
• Elicit trust by effectively prioritizing work, anticipating needs, and reliably completing tasks
• Manage new and renewal policy applications to ensure timely and accurate insurance coverage
• Prepare accurate policy summaries and claim reports as needed
• Ensure accuracy of account information for new and renewal polices and endorsements.
• Perform annual employee performance assessments for team members
• Resolve employee relations issues with assistance from Human Resources
• Attends client meeting with or without Producer as needed

What You'll Need

• 2 years of experience in a supervisory / managerial role
• 7 years of experience in commercial property and casualty insurance with 5 years of experience of independently managing a book at an insurance agency
• Strong technical skills and understanding of insurance underwriting and coverage
• Demonstrated ability to organize and lead service teams
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Advanced user of MS Excel and other Microsoft products
• Industry designations a plus
• Property & Casualty license required
