At AssuredPartners our Columbia, SC office is growing! We are seeking an experienced Sr Account Manager in Commercial Lines Insurance to work a large book of business specializing in Real Estate and Construction. You will partner with our sales team, as well as work independently on sales opportunities, to lead day-to-day management of current clients' insurance programs.

What You'll Do

  • ● Client Support

    o Maintains accurate client information to provide day-to-day client support and address intermediate-level client inquiries.

    o Assists in the development of strong business relationships with appropriate insurance carrier personnel. Recognizes and satisfies carrier goals and objectives to enhance business relationships.

    ● Account Management

    o Maintains files with proper records according to company procedures. Follows company procedures in order to achieve positive audit results.

    o Ensures accuracy of account information for both new and renewal policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy in rating, coverage, signatures, and enters these transactions to generate billing invoices in a timely manner.

    o Reviews all premium audits according to Agency procedures recognizing that the Agency must process in a timely manner.

    o Reviews accounts receivable report for all assigned accounts to support client retention.

    ● Insurance Expertise

    o Leverages technical knowledge to ensure carrier quotes are received in a timely fashion; Reviews quotes for gaps and assists with inquiries from the carrier.

    o Attend training and seek self-directed learning to continue education in industry and technical knowledge.

    ● Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    · 2-5 years of related experience and/or training preferred

    · Property and Casualty License

    · Working knowledge of available commercial lines coverages based on business and industry

    · Proficient in providing client service through electronic, telephone, and in-person interaction

    · Problem solving skills; strong written and verbal communication skills

    · Proficient in use of Agency Management software, or demonstrated skill at quickly learning new systems

    · Proficient in use of Microsoft Office or similar software, including spreadsheet and presentation software

What You'll Need

  • 4-8 years of related experience and/or training preferred; experience as responsible person for all levels of account service to a particular client or set of clients

    ● Property and Casualty License

    ● Working knowledge of available commercial lines coverages based on business and industry

    ● Demonstrated problem solving and solution-design skills; strong written and verbal communication skills

    ● Proficient at rapid prioritization and time management

    ● Highly proficient in use of Microsoft Office or similar software, including spreadsheet and presentation software

    ● Proficient in use of agency management software; able to quickly learn new systems
