JOB SUMMARY

The Pricing Specialist is a critical position that administers the pricing programs for all corporate retail stores. The Pricing Specialist oversees all pricing related signage in the corporate retail stores, and the coordination of major event pricing books including: candy, summer, holiday, etc. This position is located at the Associated Retail Operations (ARO) office in Salt Lake City, Utah, and local travel may be required for competitive store visits and price checks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supports Scan Coordinators by researching pricing and tag discrepancies
• Assists Sales Managers with pricing and ensures that pricing is implemented correctly
• Serves as the event book coordinator for holiday and seasonal pricing and exports prices for the retail stores pricing system
• Responsible for data entry pricing on upcoming events
• Manages price checks performed out in the field
• Participates in competitive store checks and retail visits
• Administers all aspects of signage
• Conducts data analysis
• Assist in the management of the other ARO systems and programs: (i.e. BRdata, CGO, Storelink, Equipment tracking, etc.:

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent required

EXPERIENCE: 1 - 2 years work experience in retail grocery store (Grocery or GM Department Manager, Receiving, or Scanning preferred). Broad knowledge of center store and fresh department products and processes preferred.

KNOWLEDGE: Ability to provide quality customer service. Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. Strong knowledge and accuracy in basic mathematics. Good organizational skills. Must be able to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.

SKILLS: Performs repetitive tasks that require detailed instructions. Proficient in Microsoft Office (ability to perform advanced Excel formulas and pivot tables preferred), 10-key, and data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Able to multi-task and manage work flow with daily variation in volume.

ABILITY: Must be able to work well with others throughout the organization as this position requires frequent contact with retail stores teams, category managers, and team members at ARO. Communicate well with people via email and over the phone in order to solve problems. Maintain professional business relationships with all customers.
