Job Description
Job Title : Maintenance Assistant
Job Location : Lynnfield
Seasonal Position : May 15th - August 31st
Hourly Rate : 18.00
Shift : M - F, 8 : 00 AM to 2 : 00 PM
Job Summary :
The Maintenance Assistant helps maintain common areas, make repairs, or begin projects as requested by the supervisor and / or work orders for residential property.
Duties Include :
- Understands written work orders or verbal instructions from the Supervisor.
- Assist maintenance technician with tasks and duties.
- Perform porter-type jobs, including trash removal, leaf blowing, pressure washing & gutter cleaning.
- Repairing or replacing common area lights, timers, and entry systems.
- Painting and repairing sheetrock, gutters, and downspouts.
- Assists other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.
- Perform all duties (Homeowners and Association) in order of priority as assigned by the Supervisor, Service Coordinator, or Community Manager or as required by an emergency.
- Maintains log of expenses and completed work orders and audits them for status; reviews incomplete work orders.
- Maintain written documentation of work completed and submit required paperwork by the date requested.
- Able to work without direct supervision.
- Work weekends as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications :
- 6 months to 1-year related experience and / or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of building maintenance and operations functions, building codes, and related regulations.
- Experience with performing carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance work; using tools associated with the trade.
