Intake Coordinator Job Overview

In the role of an intake coordinator, you will greet patients and collect personal information, medical histories, and insurance details relevant to admission for services. You will address patient inquiries and concerns. Will be responsible for facilitating and maintaining relationships with insurances. Success in your role will be demonstrated by effectively assisting potential patients qualifying and enrolling into a Managed Long-Term Care, Certified Home Health Agency, or PACE program to receive home care services.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Interviews patients and completes admissions paperwork.
• Verifies patient insurance coverage and benefits.
• Answers phones and completes associated clerical tasks.
• Creates and maintains patient records.

Requirements

• Skilled Multitasker.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Timeline driven.
• Tireless follow up until goals achieved (receiving Referral's, Auth's, and etc.)
• Well versed in Medicaid, MLTC, CDPAS eligibility.
• Communication with contracts & insurance providers.
• Language: English, Mandarin & Cantonese.
• At least a year of experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
