The Job/What You'll Do:

The Custody Operations Analyst will have established expertise in core Custody Operations activities (pricing, corporate actions, income processing, asset-setup/ maintenance, trade processing/corrections and reconciliation) with the highest level of customer focus, accuracy, speed, and service touch. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, ability to work in a team environment, and a passion for serving financial advisors with a high level of excellence. The focus for this position will be on developing process and/or system improvements, assist with training, and flex to other groups when there is a business need.

We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our office location in Phoenix, AZ.

Responsibilities:

• Perform quality control reviews of the Custody Operations activities and procedure documentation
• Oversee, own and be able to perform at least one core custody operations process; to include training, workflow management, procedure documentation and measuring KPI metrics
• Responsible for achieving all KPI metrics and ensuring SLA's are met for a core custody operations process
• Ensure that all audit narratives, backup information and required sign-offs are up to date for Service Organization Controls
• Serve as a primary resource to gather documentation and perform research for internal and external auditors, while keeping leadership informed
• Work as a flexible resource in times of need to provide coverage across all custody operations service groups
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operating practices, opportunities in processes, recommend and implement improvements
• Participate in meetings, as appropriate, to discuss patterns of errors, high-risk cases, and other issues
• Research/troubleshoot all reconciliation outages resulting from trading, income, and corporate actions
• Maintain a strong knowledge of all practices within Custody Operations
• Proactively communicate status, issues and risks to leaders

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Advanced knowledge of all Custody Operations processes
• Computer literacy, knowledge of Excel and Word, detailed oriented, advanced analytical skills
• Ability to liaise with all levels of the firm to execute to meet the needs of customers
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills
• Strong track record of high-quality execution and collaboration
• Subject matter expert in Custody Operations, Operational Audits, and Investment Industry Reporting technologies, processes, vendors, best practices, and general requirements
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members in a fast-paced environment and can effectively prioritize, manage, and identify risk
• Ability to collect, analyze, interpret, report and communicate data quickly and effectively

Education & Experience:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of industry or Custody/Asset/Income/Trade Operations and reconciliation experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
