Job Description: AssetMark is a leading strategic provider of innovative investment and consulting solutions serving independent financial advisors. The Job/What You'll Do: The Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships will work as a member of the Investment Solutions team of AssetMark, Inc. In this newly created role, the Senior Manager will develop, manage, and grow our strategic partnerships with investment strategists and managers. These strategic relationships help AssetMark and our partners achieve mutual success in supporting financial advisors to address their client's investment needs. The Senior Manager will leverage their business acumen and industry knowledge to build highly effective relationships with these valued partners, create and implement strategic and tactical business plans to identify and optimize asset and revenue growth opportunities. We will rely on this role to develop and maintain a vision, scope, and roadmap of a Strategic Partnership Program that ensures its success. This role will also provide product management support for the investment solutions offered on the platform from these strategic partners. Our ideal candidate has a business-owners mindset, thrives in building relationships, quickly understands business capabilities and investment products to identify mutually beneficial relationship opportunities, stays abreast of industry trends, enjoys working with data, is execution-oriented, and excels in a highly collaborative culture. Success in this role will require a high degree of collaboration, consensus building, senior-level communication, business case development, organization, and experience managing relationship programs. This is a full-time position in our Concord, CA office with a hybrid work schedule. Responsibilities: Lead the strategic partnerships program for platform investment solutions providers with a keen focus on maximizing the existing business relationship and identifying new opportunities that are mutually beneficial Create comprehensive business plans with strategic partners and implement them by collaborating with cross-functional teams that support the program’s services and capabilities Manage day-to-day relationships with strategic partners and provide sales and marketing support: Stay abreast of new products and services of both AssetMark and the strategic partners Make proactive recommendations on sales alignment and marketing opportunities based on new capabilities or industry trend Continually develop and grow relationships to identify new business opportunities and maximize AssetMark exposure Develop and maintain a forward-looking program roadmap, drive new enhancements, and gather consensus among key stakeholders Develop subject matter expertise in competitive intelligence in the advisory business, understand the competitive landscape in TAMP and BDs in terms of investment relationship program trends, usage, and pricing As a member of the broader Investment Solutions team, provide product management support for existing and new investment products and services Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with external and internal senior management to drive consensus and influence decision-making Understanding of the financial services advisory industry, particularly with investment products trends, and competitor services/offerings; experience in supporting financial advisors is desired A track record of implementing and leading scalable programs and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are required Self-motivated, biased toward action, strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, changing environment Ability to understand the levers that drive growth in our business and our partners in order to foster the partnerships program’s success and expand our value proposition Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills with the ability to leverage quantitative and qualitative approaches to develop actionable recommendations Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are required Must be a polished presenter to interact with executives and represent AssetMark at industry conferences Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree is required MBA and CFA preferred, not required Relevant experience in a combination of relationship management, business development, program, and product management roles within financial services, asset management, banking, Broker-Dealer, TAMP, or RIA is preferred Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $130,000-$160,000. This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered.
