Pay Grade: Grade 2 - Pay Range 18.50 to 32.00 depending on skills and experience.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with afterhours as needed

Position Description:
Our company is currently seeking an experienced Sr. bookkeeper to join our team! This position will be responsible for all aspects of the accounting operations for a portfolio of properties within our organization.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
  • Review of invoices and purchase orders for appropriate coding;
  • Review of contracts and vendor creation for completeness/accuracy;
  • AP monitoring / troubleshooting as needed – e.g. review of open PO reporting;
  • Ad hoc Yardi maintenance / setups / issue management;
  • Preparation and/or review of CAM Reconciliations;
  • Preparation and/or review 1099 process;
  • Coordinates daily bank deposits;
  • Monitors bank balances, coordinates funding as needed;
  • Day to day accounting tasks for assigned properties;
  • Prepare and circulate monthly reporting packages;
  • Prepare and circulate ad hoc reporting in response to lender and other stakeholder requests;
  • Reviews monthly bank reconciliation on checking account and credit card accounts;
  • Participation in weekly staff and job costing meetings;
  • Participation in the annual budgeting process, including preparation of property budgets;
  • Coordination and communication with property ownership and other stakeholders;
  • Other related duties and projects as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3 years of progressive accounting experience;
  • 3 years of commercial property accounting and/or related experience;
  • Strong technical and practical knowledge of GAAP;
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Yardi Property management Software;
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality;
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.

  • This job mainly operates in the field with some exposure in the professional office environment. This role routinely uses a vehicle to transport between sites and is frequently on a construction job site with exposure to various environmental conditions.
