Assembly Majority, NYS is Hiring an Accountant Near Albany, NY
Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required. 2-4 years experience in an accounting or financial reporting setting preferred.
Assists with completing all required journal vouchers, refunds, encumbrances & revenue transfer vouchers; analyzes, records, verifies and reconciles financial data; analyzes and reconciles all bank accounts and credit cards on a monthly basis; assists with monitoring and maintaining disbursements and insuring that appropriations have been charged correctly within budgeted amounts; performs complex financial calculations, financial analysis and account reconciliations; monitors and reports on various financial data; reconciles mail management system on a daily basis; assists the Director of Finance with audit, FOIL and general information requests and documents; assists with bi-annual supply room inventory count; assists with bi-weekly, month end and fiscal year end reconciliations and GL postings: including bi-annual disbursement report preparation; maintains tracking spreadsheets/databases; contributes to research.
