A local family foundation is seeking a qualified candidate to fill their Accounting Specialist position for their operating foundation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accounts receivable and accounts payable for the foundation, filing monthly sales tax returns, filing property tax returns, processing weekly payroll, monthly financial reporting, and be a liaison with outside CPAs for tax preparation. The candidate will be highly proficient in accounting software (Business Central preferred), POS Software (Toast preferred), all Microsoft applications, and have Pricebook/cost experience. They will have strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements, have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Additionally, the candidate will posses the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and work with integrity within a confidential and proprietary environment. A minimum of 7 to 10 years of accounting and/or finance experience is required (preferably experience in the non-profit sector). Restaurant accounting experience is a plus along with a basic understanding of investments. Board reporting and governance experience is also a plus.

This position is proactive and not a work-from-home position. Candidate must hold a valid driver’s license as well as pass a drug screening and background check.
