POSITION SUMMARY
As a Paralegal with Aspira, your role will be to help the Legal team manage the increasing volume of legal agreements across the company. This person will help accelerate our company’s growth by ensuring that commercial transactions are completed quickly and in accordance with our company policies, and that all records are properly maintained by the Legal team. This person will collaborate with stakeholders across the company to maintain and improve our contract management process and tools. This person will also work with our counsel to review and negotiate our standard form agreements. 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Work with our attorneys and partner with business stakeholders to review, negotiate, and execute certain form agreements between Aspira and our counterparties.
  • Partner with our attorneys to develop and update legal forms and playbooks.
  • Manage and improve upon Aspira’s contract processes and contract management workflows, including by training partners on those processes and workflows, and identifying opportunities to drive scale across the organization.
  • Collect and maintain company contracts, approvals, signatures, and related documents.
  • Contribute to general team initiatives, including taking on special projects as necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least 5 years of experience as a corporate paralegal
  • At least 5 years of experience in contract management (drafting, review and database management)
  • At least 5 years of experience in corporate governance and board meeting material prep
  • At least 5 years of experience with legal department management tools (e.g., SharePoint, Box, Salesforce, and Adobe Sign) and other work technology tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Slack, and Microsoft Word).
  • At least 5 years of experience negotiating contracts or relevant experience with a law firm or in-house legal department.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently while collaborating on multiple deals, and escalate issues when needed.
  • Collaborative approach, with strong ability to build relationships, gain credibility, and partner with other.
  • Confidence operating independently in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Seniority to handle and manage his/her own workload independently with little supervision with an eye to excellent work product, including attention to detail.
  • Professionalism and ability to work with all levels of management.
  • Subject matter expertise in managing a low dollar threshold contract or boilerplate contracts (e.g., NDAs, consulting agreements, etc.).
  • Ability to problem solve and think creatively – with a focus on experience in or skillset to implement workflows and processes such as building out the contract’s repository, maintaining the BOD books and minutes, creating a contracts workflow review and execution process.
  • Follow through, reliability, accountability, and timeliness of deliverables.
