Our continued growth has created an opportunity to join our IT Team as an IT Cloud Engineer

Position Overview:

The IT Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our business-critical infrastructure hosted in the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. You will collaborate with Software Development, IT Services, and other business stakeholders to develop and execute infrastructure strategies to support current and future business goals. Measures of success for this role include designing and implementing our company infrastructure strategy, timely delivery of technical solutions, meeting or exceeding infrastructure SLAs, and the ability to consistently meet department performance metrics.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as an Enterprise, and Cloud engineering subject matter expert; building and managing our Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Lead the design and implementation of infrastructure components that support our core business functions and prioritized technology initiatives.
• Collaborate with other members of the technology department to ensure application and infrastructure performance metrics are consistently met.
• Create technical documentation, including architectural diagrams, specifications, configuration, and processes.
• Ensure zero client data is lost due to incorrectly managed infrastructure components or security incidents.
• Apply formal change management procedures to implement and document ongoing infrastructure changes.
• Create robust Alerting, and Reporting mechanisms.
• Lead and participate in data center migration projects to Azure, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
• Develop migration strategies, conduct risk assessments, and execute migration plans.
• Support further expansion, and operational efficiencies in our Azure Virtual Desktop implementation.

Required Qualifications:

• 4 years of experience building and managing modern cloud infrastructure using Microsoft Azure.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Azure architecture and core services such as Virtual Machines, Group Policy, MFA, EntraID, Management Groups, Resource Groups, Azure Regions, Azure Networking, Azure IPsec & ExpressRoute Connections, Network Security Groups, Azure VDI (AVD), and Firewalls.
• Experience using key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), metrics, and analytics to monitor, measure, and improve infrastructure performance.
• Experience with Azure networking, vwan’s p2s, s2s, expressroute tunnels, and routing.
• Experience configuring and maintaining Virtual Machine and database backups.
• Experience with identity and access management.
• Experience using infrastructure as code frameworks such as Ansible, Terraform, ARM / BICEP.
• Experience in one or more programming or scripting languages such as Azure CLI, PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or 10 years relevant experience.
• Successful completion of Microsoft Azure certifications.
• ITIL Certification a plus.
• Experience managing and negotiating Azure pricing, subscriptions, and reservations.
• Experience developing and executing disaster recovery plans.
• Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) platforms such as UiPath.

Salary: $119,000-160,000/year
