ASP Logistics, an Amazon Delivery Service Partner is Hiring a Full-Time Dispatcher and Operations Manager Near Cleveland, OH

ASP Logistics is looking to hire a dispatcher and operations manager to oversee a growing team of Delivery Associates. This person will act as the liaison between the Delivery Associates, Station Management and ASP Logistics Management, providing assistance and guidance for all parties involved.
We are looking for someone who is smart, assertive, organized, takes initiative and knows how to effectively and efficiently manage a team. They must be patient and supportive for all Delivery Associates, especially as they are newly hired and learning the job. We are in need of a personable team player who will also command respect from the team and be able to deliver on our main goal: delivering all packages to all customers every day.

Job Details:

  • 5 days a week (schedule may include weekends)
  • This job is an in-person position reporting to Amazon DCL7 10801 Madison Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio.

Basic Requirements:

  • Dispatcher or management experience required
  • Prior Amazon DSP work experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Eligible to work in the U.S
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check

Role Expectations:

  • Maintain a weekly schedule for drivers and walkers to ensure that there is adequate coverage for all days (Sunday-Saturday)
  • Manage all supplies and products ensuring we are always fully stocked and handing out devices and supply bins to each driver in the morning
  • Oversee daily truck load-out at station and assist drivers with properly and safely scanning and loading their assigned packages in a timely manner
  • Making changes to assigned routes in a timely manner in the Scheduling app and communicating via text and Amazon Chime to staff, management, station, as necessary
  • Responsible for having Amazon Chime and email/text open all shift long to ensure that they receive and relay critical information, as needed
  • The dispatcher is responsible for having the Dispatch phone on their person at all times and answering all incoming calls with a high sense of urgency, documenting issues when necessary and communicating to ASPL Management/Amazon Central Operations/Station Manager, as needed.
  • Be the point person for all Driver issues that arise throughout the day including but not limited to:
  • Monitoring all routes and troubleshooting, providing guidance, navigation assistance, Amazon Flex app support, as needed.
  • Communicate constantly with all staff to push for reattemptable package deliveries
  • Fix any errors in package scanning/documenting with Central Ops
  • Proactively maintain communication with ASPL management throughout the day, to stay on top of any delays that may arise, as well as any potential unforeseen issues that could hinder Delivery Associate progress during their routes.
  • The dispatcher needs to know the drivers scheduled for their portion of the week and have ownership of the progression of the team.
  • Monitor Delivery Associate weekly performance and assist with coaching or initial training of Delivery Associates.
  • The Dispatcher is expected to assist “On-Boarding” newly hired Delivery Associates, and have a working knowledge of the Amazon app(s) to troubleshoot potential issues.
  • The Dispatcher is expected to keep accurate clock in/out records for the drivers and collect walker sign-in books from drivers at the end of each shift
  • The Dispatcher is expected to make sure the end of night inspection process takes place, including but not limited to:
  • Organization of Gas records/Inspection sheets
  • All devices are returned and put on the charging station in the cage
  • Vans are parked in the correct spot
  • Return-to-Station packages are returned to station properly
  • Dispatcher will need to complete driver training to be familiar with all aspects of the job
