We are looking for someone to fill our Housekeeping Supervisor position which is located at Target Center in Minneapolis, MN. Home of the MN Timberwolves and MN Lynx.
Summary
This position is responsible for supervising and directing the work of housekeeping staff to insure a clean building and environment for our patrons and employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist in hiring, training, supervising, and disciplining part-time event housekeeping staff which can include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Effectively monitor and adjust staff to meet business objectives.
- Ability to coach for positive change.
- Assign part-time staff to duties and locations.
- Act as a point of contact for housekeeping event third-party services.
- Provide customer service as needed.
- Perform general cleaning duties effectively and assist with supervision of full-time and part-time staff when working scheduled days.
- Assist in the inventory and ordering of janitorial supplies.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
This position will assist to supervise up to 40 part-time event housekeeping staff, as well as all other third-party housekeeping workers.
Qualifications and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Supervisory experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
- Housekeeping experience required; housekeeping experience in a public assembly facility preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge required (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience working successfully with diverse staff.
- Knowledge of housekeeping processes and protocols.
- Knowledge of housekeeping equipment scrubbers, extractors, vacuums, pressure washers
- None required
- Frequent walking, including walking stairs.
- Frequent stooping, crouching, bending, etc.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
