GENERAL SUMMARY
To provide direct patient care in Physical Therapy and to perform other related duties to assure smooth, coordinated running of the department. Acute Hospital and/or Outpatient Rehab Unit. To identify, diagnose and treat patients with a wide variety of disabilities. To participate in program planning, development and implementation. To participate in performance improvement studies and activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Minimum Education: Certificate or Bachelor s Degree in Physical Therapy.
Required Length and Type of Experience
Prefer a minimum of 9 months clinical experience in the field of Physical Therapy. Will accept new graduates.
Required Licensure or Certification
Licensed by the State of Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Athletic Trainer s Board.
Required Physical and Environmental Demands
OSHA Requirements: All employees are required to now and demonstrate competency in all OSHA requirements for the position such as the use of personal protective barrier equipment, safe equipment and procedures, handling of hazardous materials, etc.
Physical Requirements: Performance of job duties requires sitting, standing and walking at varying intervals throughout the 8-hour shift.
Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) Considerations: All employees are required to be aware of all MSDS considerations for this position which identifies all items in their particular area that fall into this category. Each employee will be educated regarding the location of their department’s MSDS manual.
Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure: This position falls within one of the following Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Categories (check appropriate description):
Category II – Employees whose routine and/or daily duties, tasks or procedures occasionally expose them to blood and other potentially infectious materials.
