The role of the Medical Assistant (MA) is an integral part of the patient care team in the ambulatory clinic setting. The MA is responsible for clinically and clerically supporting the physician and other licensed and non licensed staff members in the delivery of quality patient care, following established standards and procedures.

  • Graduate of accredited medical assistant program REQUIRED. (certification not required)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families and employees.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to establish priorities.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Excellent customer interaction skills. Current CPR / BLS certification to be obtained during orientation.
