Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Warehouse Assistant Manager to join our team. As the Warehouse Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the overall management and operations of our warehouse facility. This is a key leadership role that requires strong inventory control skills, budgeting expertise, and knowledge of logistics and transportation planning.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of goods
- Ensure efficient inventory control practices are implemented and maintained
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to develop and manage budgets for warehouse operations
- Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to optimize freight movement and transportation planning
- Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
- Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of activities
- Software for inventory management and reporting
Requirements:
- Proven experience in warehouse management or related field
- Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and practices
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial analysis
- Experience working in a distribution center environment is preferred
- Knowledge of dispatching, freight, and transportation planning
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
