What You'll Do:

The P-8A Avionics Subject Matter Expert is a newly created position supporting our

P-8A Maintenance Fleet Introduction Training (FIT) team in PAX River, MD. In this role, you will utilize your hands-on aircraft maintenance experience, training background, and courseware development knowledge to conduct fleet training on P-8A aircraft system updates and capabilities.

Responsibilities include:

• Analyzing and identifying potential maintenance training requirements for systems and support equipment being delivered to the P-8A program
• Conducting Fleet Introduction Training (FIT) on new capabilities and instructing maintenance classroom lectures, training devices, and aircraft device sessions for P-8A maintenance personnel
• Researching and analyzing engineering and vendor sources for courseware development
• Developing enabling objectives (teaching points), learning objectives, performance objectives, and module/lesson strategies
• Developing training presentations, and training events/scenarios
• Coordinating and organizing technical and procedural information and developing into fleet introduction courseware
• Supporting P-8A test events at military installations such as NAS Patuxent River, MD, NAS Jacksonville, FL, and NAS Whidbey Island, Washington, and additional locations for fleet training and development as needed

Requirements

Who You Are:

The Avionics SME will have the following education, skills, and experience.

• 8 years of combined aircraft maintenance/operator experience on MPRA aircraft (P-8/P-3/MQ-4) is required
• Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) qualification is preferred
• Minotaur experience preferred
• Training background, Instructor 805A qualification, and Master Training Specialist preferred
